Pop Up Shop Diary - Week 4

Welcome to a new short series of blog posts about our Pop Up Shop. Every week we'll write a blog post about what is in the diary for the coming week. We'll also do a roundup of what's already happened.

So here's week 3 of the shop

Week 3 has been another busy week. We've had lots of visitors to the shop and have met some lovely people. Many skeins of yarn have gone to their new homes, but we still have plenty left.

We decided to get festive this week and put up our slightly lopsided little Christmas tree.

Of course, we had to decorate it with our knitted baubles (for sale in the shop and online, if you'd like one!) & 3 strings of sparkly lights.

Pop along and see us before we close.

On Wednesday eve we hosted our third Stitch Up Social. Once again, we met in The Good Intent who were kind enough to reserve a couple of tables for us.

There was plenty of chat, laughter and sharing what we're working on.

If you're free on a Wednesday evening, bring your current stitch project and join our friendly conversation. All stitch based disciplines welcome - we love them all!.

Stitch Up, every Wednesday 6-8pm. We'll meet in the shop, then move to The Good Intent pub, 32-33 Great Western Arcade. Hope to see you there for our last Stitch Up of the year.

The weeks have just flown by and our time in the Great Western Arcade is nearly over.

There’s just one week of our pop up shop left, so if you've been planning to visit, this week is your last chance.

We’ll be packing up and closing our doors this Sunday (10 Dec).

We’ve got yarn, accessories, gift cards, fibre, handmade decorations & scarves to tempt you. All handmade by real people.

We hope to see you before we close.

Our final event in the shop will take place on Saturday 9th December when we will be hosting a Yarn Swap.

We all have skeins and balls of yarn languishing in our stashes that we will never use. Maybe they are a colourway that isn't to your tastes, or a fibre content that you can't use anymore. There's nothing wrong with them - you just won't use them

So bring along your unwanted skeins and balls and swap them for something else. We ask that you only bring whole skeins/balls (no 100% acrylic please) and preferably with their ball bands.

Entry to our Yarn Swap is £3. Payable by cash/card on the day. All monies raised will be donated to MIST Brum, an organisation that provides free immigration advice and application casework.
