Welcome to a new short series of blog posts about our Pop Up Shop. Every week we'll write a blog post about what is in the diary for the coming week. We'll also do a roundup of what's already happened.
Coming up this week
First up this week, just the small matter of actually opening the pop up shop.
We've spent the last 6 days getting the shop ready to open. It's been a lot of hard work, quite a bit of white paint and elbow grease but it's starting to take shape.
A milestone was reached on Friday by getting our logo drawn on the shop window in white Posca pen. Doesn't it look fab?
We have 2 more days of prep to go including putting out all of the lovely stock from our stockists. I think this might be our favourite bit of shop prep getting to fondle all the yarn.
We'll be hosting our stitch social Stitch Up every Wednesday evening whilst we are in the Great Western Arcade.
Same deal as usual, bring along a current project and join our friendly conversation. Bring any stitch based project you like - knitting, crochet, cross stitch, we love it all.

We do have limited capacity at the shop. If you can't see us in there we have decamped to The Good Intent pub also in the Great Western Arcade opposite the shop.
On Saturday 18th we're having a Grand Opening Party. To celebrate the opening of our pop up shop we'll be offering a 10% discount across the shop for one day only.
We have 12 stockists with yarn, project bags, patterns, notions and more. You can also commission one of our contemporary knitted accessories and decorations to be made just for you right in the shop.
Our Grand Opening Party runs from 11-6pm. Hope to see you there
Lastly and by no means least, our final event of the week is a trunk show from Needlework on Thursday.
Needlework on Thursday design cross-stitch patterns of all your favourite Birmingham places. Jen's DIY kits include everything that you need to create an adorable finished hoop to hang in your home, or use as an extravagant frisbee.
Jen will be in store with her kits on Sunday 19th from 12-4pm.
