Welcome to a new short series of blog posts about our Pop Up Shop. Every week we'll write a blog post about what is in the diary for the coming week. We'll also do a roundup of what's already happened.
Round up of our first week
We opened our doors on Wednesday 15th November and very soon served our very first customer!
It's been a busy and exciting week - thank you to everyone who has been to the shop, whether to buy, have a browse or just say hello. It's lovely to see you all.
We still have plenty of stock left and some new stock arriving soon from some of our lovely dyers, so do pop in.
It was the first Stitch Up in the shop on Wednesday evening.
So many of you turned up, we had to relocate to The Good Intent pub (also has heating which is much needed!).
It was a fabulous evening and we'll be doing it again every Wednesday during our time in the Arcade.
If you're free on Wednesday, bring along a current project and join our friendly conversation. Bring any stitch based project you like - knitting, crochet, cross stitch, we love it all.
Stitch Up, every Wednesday 6-8pm. We'll meet in the shop, then move to The Good Intent pub, 32-33 Great Western Arcade. Hope to see you there.
Coming up next week
On Saturday 25th November we have a trunk show from Third Vault Yarns.
Lola will be bringing a treasure trove of yarns, including some new exclusive colourways, along with some gorgeous fluff!
We are open 11-6 on Saturday and Lola will be with us all day.
Our final event of the week will be the Knitwear Mending Workshop.
Join our exclusive Knitwear Mending Class and learn the art of mending and upcycling your cosy clothing.
Your tutor Annette Ratti will guide you through the intricacies of knitwear mending. Annette will also advise you on tools and materials that are useful for repairs.
