ONLINE SHOP TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

Slight imperfections that do not compromise the integrity or life of the product are sometimes unavoidable with any handmade item. Please remember that our products are not mass-produced in a factory and are made by hand.

 

Our products are not directed or marketed at children under the age of 13.   All users will declare themselves to be adults according to their applicable legislation.  Minors may use our services only with the assistance of a parent or guardian.

 

Payments

All payments are handled safely and securely by WIXPayments 

 

Delivery charges

Shipping costs are calculated by weight.  All items are shipped via Royal Mail.  UK parcels are sent 2nd Class.  Parcels to European Union can be sent by standard or tracked service. Rest of World and USA parcels are sent Royal Mail International Tracked 

Local Delivery free delivery within 3km.  This is automatically calculated at checkout.  

UK Delivery up to 0.1kg £2.75 0.1g to 0.25kg £4.50, over 0.25kg £6.50 

European Union Standard up to 0.1kg £4.25 0.1kg to 0.25kg £8.55 0.25kg to 1kg £12.85 over 1kg £15.35

European Union Tracked up to 0.1kg £9.65 0.1kg to 0.25kg £13.05 0.25kg to 1kg £16.20 over 1kg £18.45

Stitches and Hos does not issue refunds for customs fees, shipping, or the cost of your order if you refuse to pay the customs fees.

 

Unless otherwise stated we aim to dispatch orders within 3-5 business days of order placement.

Pre-order and made to order items vary in timeframes and will be highlighted in bold in the item description.

Please note we cannot ship to PO boxes

Any orders containing backordered stock will not be shipped until all items on sales order are available.

REFUNDS AND RETURNS

Returns/Exchanges

All items (except custom orders) are eligible for a full refund (minus shipping costs) if you change your mind within 7 days of receiving your order. The return shipping is to be paid by the customer and a refund will be issued within 30 days upon receipt of the item.

If you would like to exchange an item within the 7 days of receiving your order, please email shop@stitchesandhos.co.uk to arrange your request.

Returns

Items must be returned new, unused and in original packaging. Returns that are soiled, damaged or altered will not be accepted and will be sent back to the customer.

Unfortunately, custom items cannot be returned or refunded unless faulty.

Returns and exchanges shipping/postage must be paid for by the customer.

Any items found to be faulty will be eligible for a full refund. Please retain your proof of postage until the parcel has been received by us . We aim to process returns within 7 business days of receipt. Refunds will be issued through the method used for payment.

 

Please contact us via email for our return shipping address.  We do not have an office or separate studio space so returns are made to a private home address.

PRIVACY POLICY

 

Stitches and Hos (S&H) is the sole trader name of artist Sara Fowles.  S&H will only collect, store and use your information for specific purposes. This Privacy Policy will change over time so please once you have read through check periodically.  By using this site you acknowledge that the internet is not 100% secure as a medium of communication and so S&H cannot guarantee the security of the information S&H send you or you send me.  S&H cannot be held responsible for any damages you may incur as a result of the loss of security of this information.  

 

S&H will only share your data in line with the Data Protection Act of 1998 and any other applicable laws and addendums.

 

What Information is collected?

A record of your purchase is retained.   This is to ensure I have details if there are problems or if S&H need to send you additional information.  The purchase record contains your address, your email address and any emails relating to the purchase.  S&H can see the method of payment but does not retain the information, this is retained by one of our third party service providers.

 

What do we use this information for?

  • To process transactions - your information whether public or private will not be sold, exchanged, transferred or given to any other company without your consent other than for the express purpose of delivering your products or service.

  • To send periodic purchase emails - when you purchase from us you will receive an order acknowledgement, a dispatch and posting reference.

  • If you have signed up to our mailing list then you will receive occasional newsletters via email.  The third party service provider we use for this is currently MailChimp

  • Planning and managing Stitches and Hos retail and services.  E.G. customer enquiries, monitoring shopper experience or products purchased.

How do we protect you?

S&H do not store or process your card details, they are processed and stored via one of our contracted third party service providers (e.g. Paypal, WIX payments). All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our payment gateway providers database only to be accessible by those authorized with special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential.

 

S&H will not sell, disclose or distribute your information as an individual or your personal usage of the site without your consent or unless we are required or permitted to do so by law.

 

Disclosure to third parties

Whilst S&H do not sell, trade or transfer your information we do use third parties to manage this website, distribute our newsletter and to help us to complete and run our business.  These are trusted third parties and agree to keep your information private.

11.6 We will not be liable to you in respect of any loss or corruption of any data, database or software.

11.7 We will not be liable to you in respect of any special, indirect or consequential loss or damage.

11.8 You accept that we have an interest in limiting the personal liability of our officers and employees and, having regard to that interest, you acknowledge that we are a limited liability entity; you agree that you will not bring any claim personally against our officers or employees in respect of any losses you suffer in connection with the website or these terms and conditions (this will not, of course, limit or exclude the liability of the limited liability entity itself for the acts and omissions of our officers and employees).
