Phileas Yarns was born out of two passions - travelling and knitting. Inspired by my journeys and wanders - past or yet to come, I have created a collection of affordable hand dyed yarns focused on colour. Every colour has a story behind it, and there is nothing I like better than to share these with you.

River Knits hand dye British wool yarns in our floating dye studio - a narrowboat. Our yarns range from laceweight, through sock, up to DK in range of colours inspired by our life on the waterways.

We also have a huge selection of mini skeins with 60 colours in total.  We also supply knitting needles and stitch markers.

Jill has been dyeing yarn since 2011, first as Knittybots and then later as Sable Yarns.  She runs several yarn clubs each year as well as  one off boxes and gift boxes.  She also writes both knitting and crochet patterns and sells these as pattern only or as kits with yarn included.

Snuggly Stars Yarns provide a range of hand dyed yarns to suit all projects along with crafty items such as patches, patterns, accessories, buttons and notions.

Sonic Knits sell knitting subscription kits, hand dyed yarn and notions, all with a musical theme.

Stitch Solihull will be bringing everything you need to make working with your new yarn a pleasure. Needles and hooks from Knit Pro, Hiya Hiya and Clover plus blocking kits and much more.

Textile Garden has been selling beautiful buttons, ribbons, shawl pins and other clothing accessories for the past 10 years. I aim to offer top quality, mostly European goods. The majority of my items are made for me, and are not available elsewhere in UK. Finishing your garment or project with the perfect button can certainly make a difference so why compromise?

Vicky the original owner of The Knitting Shed started the company in 2008. After her death in 2014 from breast cancer, husband Paul wanted Vicky’s business to carry on. Now her sisters-in-law Louise and Nicola run it.

The Knitting Shed specialises in luxury hand-dyes, knitting kits for vintage style children’s dresses and a range of knitter’s accessories.

The Knitting Swede is a UK based business focusing on high quality yarns.

When sourcing my yarns I not only look at the quality but I am also careful to choose ethical British suppliers.

My yarns are hand-painted or hand-dyed by myself at home. During the dyeing process, I try to minimize my impact on the environment as well as neutralizing any leftover water.
